Marten has been working as a sports psychologist and coach with highly competitive athletes for many years. 
In addition to his work as a sports psychologist and trainer, his goal is to build an athlete`s mental toughness, along with a strong and healthy body. He is constantly conducting scientific research in the field of performance diagnostics and the effects of special diets on the performance of athletes.
His training concepts clearly display the results of his scientific work and being an athlete himself adds to his expertise. He develops individual training and coaching concepts for each athlete he works with, taking all relevant aspects into consideration.

Richard Geng
Former ProCyclist

Richard`s work focus is the mentoring of endurance athletes. As a seasoned cyclist, riding for various teams in Germany, South-Africa, and the US, he has participated in countless international races. He knows that there is more to an athlete`s performance than just training. When working with an athlete, he sees the whole picture and knows how to put everything into perspective. 
As a recipient of a scholarship, he is currently seeking a B.A. in exercise science at Mesa State College in Colorado, which enables him to perfectly combine the results of scientific work, with his own extensive experience. He also specializes in performance diagnostics and brings in all of his knowledge when it comes to finding a cyclist`s perfect position on the bike.

Nathan A. Keck
Associate Coach

Nate`s expertise in the field of performance testing and coaching comes from the combination of extensive experiences as an athlete and as a coach, which is backed up by a solid education. Besides his B.A. in Exercise Science, his work as a researcher in the Mesa State College Human Performance Research Lab under Bill W. Sands Ph.D., his position as a head coach of the College`s cycling program, Nate is American College of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer and former Assistant Coach of the Mesa State cross country team. He has been a part of several development programs and training camps both as a rider and coach. Furthermore Nate coached the US pro team “Team Type 1” to the new 8 man RAAM world record time. His coaching philosophy is scientific based and backed by research.

Ariane Kaiser
Physical Therapist

Ariane specializes in the treatment of acute pain conditions, chronic pain conditions, and in the prevention of injuries caused by biomechanical stress as a result of improper positioning.  Another focus of her work is the preparation of athletes for competition, as well as the optimization of their recovery. When working with a client, it is important to Ariane to look at the person from a holistic perspective, to achieve stable and long lasting improvements.  Ariane develops individual treatment concepts to perfectly adapt to every single client`s personal circumstances. In addition to her degree in physiotherapy, Ariane is trained to conduct Lymph Drainage Therapy (LDP) and Brugger Therapy. Currently she is seeking a degree in Manual Physical Therapy.

Marco Appler
Associate Coach

Marco has more than 15 years of experience in competitive sports. He was not only member of the German road national team; he was also able to win quite a few races on the national and international level as a professional. In addition to his experience as a highly competitive athlete he holds a graduate degree in exercise science and is currently seeking his PhD. Marco specializes in the coaching of endurance athlete. His expertise includes individual exercise prescriptions, including functional weight training and also nutritional coaching. In accordance with the Synergy ProTraining philosophy Marco employs a highly individual as well holistic approach to help athletes tap their full potential. But he does not only work with pro athletes. Most importantly he helps time crunched athletes like amateurs, weekend warriors and hobby cyclists to train as efficient as possible in order to achieve their goals.
